Overview

What is cloud telephony?

Cloud telephony means running your business phone system on a provider's servers instead of on hardware in your office. Calls are placed and received over telecom networks, but the logic — menus, routing, recordings, call lists — lives in software that you control from a browser or an API.

For a business this removes the cost and wait of installing a PBX, lets you scale from ten calls a day to thousands without new lines, and makes every call measurable: you see who answered, which key they pressed and how long they stayed.

Voice still matters in India because it reaches everyone — feature-phone users, people who don't read SMS, and customers who respond better to a spoken message in their own language.

Voice, IVR & OBD

Compliant by design

Voice services we offer

Voice broadcast (OBD)

Upload a list and a recorded message; we call every number and report who answered and for how long.

Interactive OBD

Add keypress options to outbound calls — press 1 to confirm, 2 to talk to an agent — and capture the response.

Inbound IVR

A virtual number with a menu that routes callers to the right team, plays information or takes input.

Voice OTP

Read one-time passwords aloud by automated call, usually as a fallback when SMS OTP is delayed.

Missed-call service

Customers give a missed call to a number to opt in, request a callback or register interest — free for them.

Click-to-call & call masking

Connect customers and agents or delivery staff without revealing either party's real number.

How an outbound voice campaign works

  1. 1

    Record or upload audio

Use a studio recording or text-to-speech, in any Indian language.

  2. 2

    Upload your call list

Add numbers by file or API, with scheduling and retry rules.

  3. 3

    Set keypress options

Optional: capture DTMF responses such as confirm, cancel or transfer.

  4. 4

    Launch and monitor

Calls go out in parallel; answered, busy and failed calls show live.

  5. 5

    Retry and report

Unanswered numbers are retried on your schedule and results exported.

Compliance for promotional calls

Commercial calls in India fall under TRAI's TCCCPR rules. Promotional voice calls must not be placed to numbers on the DND registry for that category, must be made from the designated number series and only within permitted hours. Transactional and service calls — such as reminders about an existing account — have more room but still need a clear purpose.

We scrub promotional call lists against DND before dialling and keep call records so you can show what was sent, to whom and when.

Voice pricing

Voice is billed per pulse (commonly 15 or 30 seconds) or per minute, depending on the service. Inbound IVR adds a monthly rental for the virtual number. Rates fall with monthly volume; see the pricing page or ask for a quote.

FAQ

Voice, IVR & OBD FAQs

What is OBD?+

OBD (outbound dialling) is an automated outbound call that plays a recorded message to a list of numbers. Interactive OBD also captures keypress responses.

What is the difference between IVR and OBD?+

IVR answers incoming calls with a menu. OBD places outgoing calls to your customers. Many businesses use both.

Do I need hardware for cloud telephony?+

No. Calls, menus and recordings run in the cloud and are managed from a web panel or API.

Can voice calls be in regional languages?+

Yes. You can upload recordings in any language or use text-to-speech for supported Indian languages.

Can I call DND numbers?+

Promotional calls cannot be made to numbers that have opted out on the DND registry. Transactional and service calls related to an existing relationship follow different rules.
